Ireland temporarily reduces the VAT rate on gas and electricity

The Government of Ireland agreed to reduce the VAT rate on the supply of gas and electricity from 13.5% to 9%, at a cost of € 46 million.
The reduced VAT rate will be in effect from 1 May to 31 October.
