Spain extends VAT reduction on electricity to June 2022

In a move to deal with high energy costs in Spain, the Spanish Prime Minister has announced the extension of the reduced VAT rate of 10% on electricity from April 2022 until 30 June 2022.
The reduced rate came into effect in October 2021. After 30 June 2022, the VAT rate will return to the standard 21% VAT rate.
