India to reduce threshold for mandatory e-invoicing

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs Authority in India has lowered the annual sales threshold for mandatory GST e-invoices. As of 1 April 2022, e-invoicing will be mandatory for all taxpayers that have aggregate turnover exceeding INR 20 Crores (~EUR 2.4 million). The current threshold is INR 50 Crores (~EUR 6 million).
