New Zealand Takes the First Steps Toward Implementing B2G e-Invoicing

The Blue dot Team

The New Zealand government has taken the first step towards mandatory B2G e-invoicing. All central government agencies must be able to receive invoices in an electronic format from 31 March 2022. By 2026, 90% of invoices to the central government are expected to be issued as e-invoices.

New Zealand has chosen to use the PEPPOL network for e-invoicing. Companies will need to contract a certified PEPPOL Access Point to be able to exchange electronic invoices.
